We are a busy nursery and have implemented Planning in the Moment this Spring and have been doing Forest School with all ages for over ten years. We are a family run nursery based on a working farm with adjacent woods, with four forest school base camps! We are seeking an experienced individual who can help bring the magic to early years in such an enabling setting, working alongside a really fantastic team of staff.
What is the purpose of the job?
The role of the Deputy Manager is to assist the Nursery Manager to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
In the absence of the Nursery Manager and Directors, the Deputy will undertake the overall day-to-day management of the nursery.
You will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above, understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are met and have experience working in a busy nursery setting in a leadership position.
The successful candidate will spend a mixture of time in ratio working across all age rooms, as well as time out of ratio to support staff and fulfill all duties and responsibilities.
